Your Guide to Nomadtopia
I’m Amy Scott, and I’ve been living my Nomadtopia since 2004.
I quit my publishing job in the San Francisco Bay Area to travel the world—and then couldn’t imagine ever going back to an office! I set myself up to be able to work from anywhere as a freelance book editor, and I have been living my Nomadtopia ever since. It’s taken a lot of different forms over the years, from living abroad to traveling full-time, and I started out solo and picked up a husband and twins along the way. These days, our Nomadtopia adventures continue from our base in Mexico City.
I was talking myself in circles and getting bogged down in all the logistics of living a nomadic life. Now, I’m spending the winter abroad and planning a 10-month round the world trip—in large part thanks to Amy’s coaching.
Knowing that Amy had made it work (and that she believed I could make it work) was a huge boost. She is even-keeled, non-judgmental, and full of both wisdom and inspiration. I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone who is chasing their tail with logistics!

Although I had traveled quite a bit, I was nervous about making this big life change. I tend to worry about things too much, and Amy reassured me, held me accountable, and always moved me forward so I didn’t lose sight of my dream.
Thanks to Amy, I felt more confident that I was making the right choice, and I finally hit the road with my husband in a newly created location-independent life.

Traveling full-time seemed nearly impossible, but Amy helped me tackle logistics like how to finance my trip and got me thinking about how to transition to working remotely. Now I have the freedom to work anywhere I want, whenever I want. Amy’s guidance has been priceless.

I knew in my heart I’m meant to begin building a nomadic lifestyle into my business, but I was overwhelmed with the how, what, where, and why. Amy showed me that not only was this doable, it would be even better and more doable than I could imagine. She helped me turn this idea into an actual game plan.

I wanted to travel and do something different but I couldn’t figure out when, where, and how. I was overwhelmed and couldn’t wrap my head around this trip or anything about it.
Amy was so good at asking the questions that helped me get where I wanted to go. Investing in coaching made it so I knew the trip would absolutely 100% happen—in fact, thanks to Amy, I could see myself actually doing it, and I gave up my apartment to travel indefinitely.
