Leon Logothetis: Addicted to wanderlust

April 15, 2015 |

Inspired by Che Guevara’s adventures in The Motorcycle Diaries, Leon quit his job in London and set off on his first big adventure: traveling across the U.S. on $5/day. Since then he’s traveled around the world combining his wanderlust with philanthropy, and he’s developed TV shows and written books about his travels.

Most Memorable Location-Independent Experiences
The time that I met Tony, a homeless man in Pittsburgh. He showed me amazing kindness and we became friends because of it. I was also fortunate enough to repay that kindness in a way that changed both his life and mine.

Biggest Surprise along the Way
The biggest surprise is that the media focuses most of its attention on the negative and that the majority of people I met were kind, compassionate, and interested in love not war.
