Grounded Nomads: A Special Series from Nomadtopia Radio
April 3, 2020 | Grounded Nomads, Podcast
What does a traveler do when they can’t travel (or even leave the house)?
Where does a nomad choose to “stay home” or shelter in place when they don’t have a home?
How does one handle the logistics of a short-term visit that has unexpectedly turned into an indefinite one?
Who am I if I stay in one place?
What will my Nomadtopia look like post-pandemic?
These are just some of the questions the Nomadtopia community is grappling with in the midst of the COVID-19 global pandemic. Like planes all over the world, we nomads have found ourselves grounded.
Grounded Nomads is a special weekly series from Amy Scott, host of Nomadtopia Radio. Just like the regular monthly podcast (which is on hold), this series features conversations with nomads, expats, and other location-independent professionals and travelers about how the pandemic is affecting their lives. In order to capture up-to-date stories and the nuances of this fast-changing situation, interviews are published the week they’re recorded. Grounded Nomads will continue indefinitely, just like our current situation, as we all figure out what our version of Nomadtopia looks like right now and in the future.
All episodes are recorded live in the Nomadtopia Collective with members of the Collective in attendance for Q&A and discussion after the interview. Join us in the Collective to be part of the conversation!
